      Shoot Lower Scores Today

The hard part of golf is not swinging the club. The game of golf is more of an art of shooting low scores, not perfect swings. With my training program students are doing things they once thought were impossible. This allows them to play the course the way it was designed and to focus more on the mental game of building confidence in themselves.

About Me

The world of sports is full of fierce competition, and you are going to want the best coach in your corner. As a coach, I bring over 20 years of instruction to your training experience.  I have coached/caddied in 2 U.S. Amateurs, and 3 U.S. Junior Championships. Several former students now play collegiate golf and even a few have played on tour.  Regardless, whether you are a young athlete, a corporate professional or a weekend golfer - you will leave hitting the ball straighter and further than you could ever imagine. I am here to provide the knowledge and you bring the determination.  If you would like to improve your game, come and train with Jerrod Funk Golf.

2001-2004

My tenure at the David Leadbetter Junior Golf Academy was without a doubt the most pivotal time in my career. I like to say this is where I obtained my master's degree in the golf swing.  I had so many great mentors there helping me understand all facets of how to take a beginner to winner. I was able to meet so many tour players and got my first taste of caddying for a young female U.S. Junior Champion named Nicole Perrot at LPGA Q-School.  It was an amazing experience working for this company.

2004-Present

In 2004 I returned to my roots in the mountains of SWVA, and even today I will still tell you "I'm just a good ole country boy who ended up working for the #1 ranked golf instructor in the world". However, for me, it is so much more. I am blessed to do a job that has never felt like work. I am in an industry that I love but more importantly, I am able to make a lasting impact in the lives of young people...all through this little game called golf.
